WE WIN NEVADA DISABILITY BENEFITS

Your medical conditions can be both physical and mental conditions. For example, you may be a person who has chronic back pain. Or, you may have even had multiple spinal operations or a repeat fusion. You may think that your spinal condition is the only reason you cannot work. But chronic pain often results in mental conditions, such as panic attacks or anxiety. Learn about benefits for anxiety.

Mental conditions, even if they create mild symptoms are important. Mental symptoms can impact your memory. They can make it difficult to follow instructions at work. Also, they can be the difference between winning and losing your SSD and SSI benefits. You may also have symptoms like hearing voices or trouble getting along with family and friends. These symptoms are important to your case.

The SSA is required to look at the combination of all of your health conditions to see if they prevent you from working. That includes any mental symptoms that may stem from your physical conditions. A judge at an SSA hearing will read your medical records. Read here if you are wondering where your Las Vegas hearing will be held.

THE MEDICAL VOCATIONAL GUIDELINES

Your physical and mental conditions, along with your education and skill level from your past work, may qualify you for SSD and SSI benefits. When the SSA looks at your case, they might use their special rules. These rules are the Medical Vocational Guidelines or the “GRIDS.” The GRIDS are helpful to older individuals whose medical condition does not meet or equal a listing. However, their physical or mental condition still prevents them from working.

Some people are unable to work due to factors such as advanced age. Likewise, they may be unable to learn new work skills. Or, they may have a lack of education. All of these issues matter. To learn more about winning SSD benefits, see our page about the Medical Vocational Guidelines.  Also, if you are over 50 years old, read about how we help people who are over 50 years old win SSD benefits.

We represent all of our clients on a pay only if you win basis. That means we will work for free for you until we win your case. And, if we don’t win your benefits, you do not owe any attorney fee.

What does a free review of your case mean? It means that we will answer your questions about your SSD and SSI case for free. If you don’t know how to apply for benefits, then we will help you. Likewise, if you want to become a client or you are wondering if you have a good chance at winning benefits, then we will tell you. WHAT IS A FREE REVIEW OF YOUR BENEFITS?

You need Nevada SSD benefits and you want the best attorney to help you. As Nevada attorneys, we offer a free review of your case. But, a free review does not mean we will automatically become your attorney. We only take cases that we think have a chance of winning. Why? Because we are only paid if we win.

Much of our decision depends on what you tell us. Therefore, when you call, make sure that you explain all of your physical and mental conditions. For example, if you have depression, don’t forget to tell us about your counselor. Likewise, if you have a physical condition like back pain, then tell us about any past operations. Also, don’t forget to mention your treatment for anxiety or any other mental conditions.

WE WORK ON A CONTINGENCY BASIS

We will ask you questions about your work history. Also, we will ask you questions about your legal history and if you have alcohol abuse problems. These types of issues can prevent winning your claim. If you already have an attorney, however, then you will need to call that attorney to answer your questions. We cannot answer questions if you already have a lawyer.

We are paid an attorney fee only if we win your Nevada SSD benefits. This means, if we do not win your case, then you do not owe an attorney fee. However, whether you win or lose your case, you will need to pay the costs of your claim. Those costs are usually low and less than $100. Your costs will be paying for a copy of your medical records. You can also review our client paperwork on our Fee Agreement and Important Forms page.

WHAT WE DO TO HELP YOU WIN NEVADA SSD BENEFITS

You do not need to obtain Nevada SSD and SSI benefits on your own. Our lawyers and legal staff can help file your SSD application. Also, we can help you file an appeal at each stage of the process. That way, you can focus on your health. Our attorneys and staff can:

DON’T FORGET THAT SSA HAS DEADLINES

If you file your application for SSD benefits online at Social Security’s website, then you have 6 months to complete it. Once you submit your online application, the SSA sends you an application summary in the mail. You must sign the summary and mail it back. This proves to the SSA that you wanted to file an application. The same is true with the SSI application. You need to sign the summary. Then, send it back to the SSA.

Additionally, if you receive a denial from the SSA, then you have 60 days to file an appeal. You must file an appeal within the 60 day time limit. If you do not, then you will have to start the process over again. That means you will lose any benefits you could receive on the old application.
