CONCURRENT DISABILITY BENEFITS

Concurrent disability benefits are available to you if you have a severe medical condition that keeps you from working more than 12 months. “Concurrent benefits” refers to receiving both SSDI and SSI benefits at the same time. This typically occurs when your SSDI payment is less than the federal SSI benefit amount. With concurrent benefits, you receive coverage from both Medicare and Medicaid.
