SSA’s New Mental Health Listings
The SSA has published and new mental health listings in January 2017. These listing effect all claimant’s alleging disability under any mental health listing. Anyone who is alleging disability due to a mental health listing, such as Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Personality Disorder, Anorexia, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or IQ issues, needs to be aware that the Social Secuirty Administration has revamped the disability criteria for all mental health diagnosis. In particular, the SSA has changed the criteria for determining how your mental disability prevents you from working and impacts your daily activities.
